Key Skills: -- Proven track record of successfully delivering structural engineering building projects of varying scales and complexities throughout all project stages, locally, nationally and internationally. -- Delivery of technically excellent design solutions for projects on time and to budget. -- Practical knowledge of construction implementation, buildability and proven site supervision experience. -- Specific experience of analytical computer modelling is essential. -- Thorough detailed working knowledge of design codes and standards relating to structural engineering, especially Indian codes. Knowledge of American Standards will be beneficial. -- Skilled at collaborative working, have good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively through all mediums. -- High level of experience of working very closely with Architects, assisting with realizing Client and Architectural visions for developments. Job Description Jensure quality and accuracy of designs. Offer suggestions to assist in the efficiency of works. Produce Hand sketches Carry out and check design calculations. Ensure compliance with project Design Criteria/ Client Brief/ Approved Concept. Check documentation complies with design Attend design, clients, architects and site meetings. Ensure compliance with program constraints and budget; and maintain Quality Procedure Manual. Other duties and responsibilities as reasonably required by the Team Leader/ Division Manager. Job Responsibility: As a result of the continuing growth of our Design and Engineering business, our Civil and Structural Engineering team in Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai are seeking to recruit an experienced Principal Structural Engineer. This new appointment is part of our aspiration to develop and grow our structural team in India. This role will allow the right candidate to play a leading role in some of the most challenging and exciting engineering projects in the world. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the management and production of engineering / technical deliverables on a range of multi-disciplinary projects of varying scales and levels of complexity. You will be responsible for overall Civil and Structural Engineering technical delivery within the Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai Offices, providing all necessary technical direction, resourcing, mentoring and assurance of structural engineering within Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai offices. Credibility, competence, agility and technical excellence are a given as the role requires close working with our internal and external clients, decision makers, industry stakeholders and other consultants to develop robust design solutions through collaborative and proactive management of client demands - providing leadership from both a technical delivery and people management perspective is imperative. You will be a Structural Engineer with a proven track record of successful technical and commercial delivery of design projects from feasibility through to completion of construction/ handover. You will be required to demonstrate a developed understanding of the market and industry and ability to focus our business to take full advantage of market conditions and have experience in assisting with the preparation of bids and tendering opportunities, where required.
