We are continually innovating and setting new industry standards for showcasing a lot of products across multiple global marketplaces. We are obsessed with innovating on behalf of our customers, and continually push beyond the boundaries of traditional e-commerce imagery to advanced visual experiences.About the role: Senior Design Manager will be responsible of managing 3D Design Managers, 3D Support teams and handling both creative and operations part of the business in parallel without compromising each other. Were looking for a proficient Senior Design Manager, who is able to understand technical problems the artist team may face from an artistic perspective, while working directly with 3D artists, Managers, Technical Artists and Art Directors and other stakeholders. The position requires a candidate with proven ability to build new customer experience and drive process improvements and the ability to keep pace with our explosive growth while motivating design manager to deliver on their goals in an extremely deadline-driven environment. The manager will be responsible for operational metrics, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, resolving problems, process optimisation and implementation of projects. The Manager will also support growth and development of their team in terms of Business, Operations, and Technical acumen. The leader will work to deliver, best in class e-retail visual experiences for our customers across product lines.Responsibilities: The ability to work within and across large, interdependent teams is a must, so the right person will have an implicit understanding of the balance needed between artistry, technical development, communication, and partnership. Some of the key result areas include, but not limited to: Create the vision for developing, communicating, and implementing the user experience design for multiple products across platforms; follow through with the processes and tactics to implement the vision Coach a team of 3D Artists and Design Managers to use business requirements to assist in developing use cases and high-level requirements Guide teams to understand customers and their needs through market analysis, customer research, and feedback Managing stakeholder communication across multiple lines of business on operational milestones, process changes, escalations, etc. Help the 3D Digital Studio team with planning, prioritizing, and overseeing initiatives; manage projects; ensure that all 3D productions work are executed on time and at the highest quality levels; manage and scope team initiatives, set priorities, and direct the team to ensure timely deliveryAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, disability, age, or other legally protected status., Bachelor s/Master degree in creative domain with minimum of 8+ years of creative industry experience, including 5+ years of leading creative team(s) in 3D, performance of direct reports, and project deliverables Understanding of large-scale e-commerce imaging studio operations, KPI s and creative processes Work with Art leads to establish and educate technical best practices to ensure content is being built in the best and most efficient way to hit our Art style and quality bar Ongoing research to recommend improvements to workflows in order to improve productivity or communication Guides team to work creatively around difficult design limitations without lowering the customer bar. Shows an increased command in a design process that makes achieving the intended customer success a habit Manages large design team, that is responsible for features and products of medium/high scope and complexity Exposure to working with technology teams and solving operational issues using technology Regularly suggests, documents and implements new and improved design patterns, methods or processes Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate creative attributes and related technicalities Has a background in quantitative decision making, ability to drive business/operations metrics, and driving adoption of different tools and resources Familiar with design software like Maya, Z Brush, Substance Painter, Photoshop, etc. Demonstrated history of acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and guiding direct reports to do the same Experience working in a photo realistic production environment working across an array of clients including e-commerce Experience/knowledge with product photography and lighting Proven experience implementing interface patterns for mobile/web products and developing design systems to serve a broader ecosystem of products
