  • Perform detailed structural calculations using finite element tools like RFEM and our in-house software ROSAP
  • To work with a team of secondary steel engineers and CAD technicians on project teams referring to the Project or Design Manager
  • Manage and design secondary steel structures such as internal/external platforms, boat landings, access arrangements, anode cages and various advanced steel details, working closely with other engineers and CAD technicians to deliver innovative and efficient designs to meet the Client s needs
  • Manage the schedule and budget for the secondary steel team
  • Optimize the design through skilled examination of results and important design drivers
  • Coordinate the design with other disciplines and other project stakeholders (main focus on internal coordination)
  • Ensure designs are prepared to fulfil the latest health and safety requirements accounting for the full life cycle of the structure from fabrication through to decommissioning
  • Perform Quality Assurance of computer models and project documentation and undertake quality assurance of calculations and deliverables
  • Contribute to internal development activities to continuously improve and optimise our designs

  • A degree in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering
  • Minimum 8-10 years experience in design of Secondary steel structures.
  • A track record applying your understanding of structural engineering principals, design standard requirements and the fabrication/construction process to produce efficient designs
  • A good knowledge and understanding of 3D CAD and structural models
  • Good communication skills in English and experience coordinating designs with other disciplines and other stakeholders both in person and remotely
  • Preferably experience with selected software package, such as RFEM, SolidWorks, ANSYS and similar
