CORE ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze, interpret and document data on all source and target systems
Provide resolutions to all data issues and co-ordinate with data analysts to validate requirements
Assist in providing estimates and timescales for delivering ETL processes
Create technical and system specifications for all ETL processes in a clear and consistent manner
Perform testing and validate all data flows against documented business requirements
Adhere to Data Governance policies and follow published procedures
Collaborate with Data Governance representatives to ensure data integrity remains intact and is auditable and traceable between all source and target systems
Co-ordinate with the ETL and Global Analytics Platform team to implement all ETL procedures for all new projects
Maintain effective awareness of all production activities to required standards and provide support to all existing applications
Ensure all ETL procedures are performant and run smoothly
Provide production support for all ETL procedures and engage in trouble shooting where necessary
Follow published change management processes
SKILLS KNOWLEDGE:
5+ years experience with ETL development and ETL tools
Proven experience with Oracle Data Integrator Cloud Service (ODICS), Enterprise Data Management Cloud Service (EDMCS)
3+ years experience with Oracle EBS
3+ years experience ETL development on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Strong Oracle EBS database and good business knowledge
Good grasp on Data Governance frameworks, tools and concepts
Exceptional SQL skills
Exceptional trouble shooting, debugging and problem solving skills
Highly skilled in Parameterization
Excellent skills using a scripting language such as Python, Perl and Bash
Strong organizational skills and able to keep all work organized and structured
A creative approach to mapping and ability to define Source to Target Mapping documentation (STTM)
Good time management and prioritization skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a pressurized environment
Experience following Agile methodology
Customer service orientation
Ability to translate between technical and business language and to explain concepts and complex topics in relatively simple terms
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
A degree in mathematics an advantage
Strong background in computer programming
Strong analytical skills and analytics qualification a definite advantage
English as a first language or qualified in the English language
