JD for SW Development Manager (Security):

15+ years of experience

Experience with Linux/Android based embedded product architecture, design development.

Provide technical leadership, takes technical ownership of projects, works with stake holders, develops system specifications and delivers quality software features to ensure schedules and objectives are met.

Have a solid professional development background with very good understanding of Software Architecture and Design

Stays abreast of technical area, comes up with creative ideas innovative solutions that can be brought into the product and provides knowledge transfer to fellow team members

Requires strong leadership and communication skills (written and verbal).

Has atleast 3+ years of experience in managerial skills with people project management

Managed all SW development activities including architecture, design, development, test, deployment of Linux/Android based Embedded Products

Conduct performance reviews managed people at different performance levels

Ability to set clear vision, objectives for the team

Co-ordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish customer deliverables directing all technical activities

Analyse/forecast technology, resource needs, estimates for projects, training needs working closely with the team

Understand and ensure right processes are followed in compliance with engineering team

Experience with Android SDK

Experience with Android Media CAS Plugin e xperience with third-party libraries and APIs

Experience in working/Integrating the CA from Synamedia, Verimatrix, Irdeto etc

Experience in Android TV

Language C/ Java (JNI)

Understanding H.264/H.265. MPEG2-TS, HLS, DASH, DVB

Proven software development experience and Android skills development

Experience with working leading AGILE based SCRUM team as a Product Owner is a big plus

Experience managing Android based products, experience in Set top box, Android STB/TV, IPTV/OTT Video domain would be a big plus
