Job Description

Role National Channel Manager (Distribution)Position Title:Sr. Manager Distribution PlanningDepartment:Sales Development Grade/ LevelM3Reporting To:VP- Sales DevelopmentReportees:NilThe position is responsible for distribution channel optimisation and expansion. Critical activities include devising strategies for expansion, assessing distribution channel health and making time to time amendments to the processes and policies as required. The incumbent will also be responsible for capability building of key workforce who contribute to working of distribution channel.Key Performance Indicators

  • Increase in sub-dealers billing at national level
  • Expansion into white spaces and feeders appointment
  • Increase in DT ROI
  • Execution of key projects related to systems / policies / processes
Key ActivitiesDistribution Channel Expansion
  • Defining strategies and mechanisms for expanding the country wide distribution channel
  • Evaluate distribution model, and design an exhaustive distribution and coverage plan, for the region, with detailing done till village level
Distribution Channel Health
  • Working with the regional teams to drive ROI management
  • Focus on enabling and developing distributors to make them effective channel partners
Design and enhance distribution systems and processes
  • Design and drive annual / quarterly / monthly business planning and review processes
  • Identifying and formalising national priorities for the distribution channel (annual planning, LTNP exercise)
Distribution channel effectiveness
  • Devising strategies to improve on key distribution matrix like Check in, Productivity, LPD and SFA utilisation through proper training and reviews
Trade marketing initiatives
  • Working in close coordination with the central marketing team to design and implement trade schemes in the channel
  • Ensuring that the sales team is trained on the merchandising activities in the channel
Capability Building for distribution channel and training delivery
  • Capability building of processes & systems for Entire distribution channel
  • Key activities include, designing of content with HR partner and monitoring delivery and effectiveness
DSE Lifecycle Management
  • To enhance engagement & productivity of existing DSEs through effective life cycle deployment
  • Also, to ensure quality DSEs get hired
Drive priority projects in Distribution
  • Working in close coordination with marketing, digital and pan India sales teams to drive key priority projects
