Job Description

Following established written procedures, guidelines and techniques, develops, enhances, tests, supports, maintains, and debugs software applications that support business units or support functions. Individual contributor role; fully competent to work under general direction on the most complex projects, often on multiple phases, and seeks guidance and direction from more senior associates or manager, as needed. Working knowledge of business or function for which application is designed. Often responsible for the completion of a phase of a project. Provides guidance and checks the work of less experienced associates.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects.
  • Maintain and support multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Document and report application specifics.
  • Create technical specifications and test plans.
  • Provide weekend on call support during application releases.

Requirements

  • Education: B.E./ B. Tech/M.E./M. Tech/BSC/MSC/BCA/MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization)
  • Certifications If Any:
  • Experience Range: 2 -4 yrs
  • Mandatory Skill:
  • Develop unit test Oracle E-Business Suite Components, UNIX Shell Script and PLSQL Packages. Documenting and following the test practices while developing the code.
  • Excellent debugging skills
  • Good experience in handling issues developing good working relation with cross functional stakeholders
  • Support SIT/UAT testing needs in QA environment
  • Help resolve ABENDS, issues in production and escalate as necessary.
  • Perform Adhoc tasks, and SIT support, as part of day to day activities. Work on small enhancements and fixes as requested by the Application Manager.
  • Strong domain knowledge and product knowledge
  • Strong Banking Domain
  • Good understanding of the functional testing process, scenarios and what to expect from a testing sequence
  • Strong Problem Identifying and solving ability
  • Ability to understand and maintain existing automated scripts based on the specifications and validate that the solution provided meets the requirements and provide inputs.
  • Strong knowledge on test design and preparation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly committed and ability to work in fast paced environment against tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in international virtual teams and in matrix structures and being a good team player
  • Positive attitude to resolve problems and ability to work odd hours to support the business demands
  • Primary Technical Skills
  • Operating System : UNIX
  • Programming : UNIX Shell Scripting, PL/SQL, Oracle E-Business Suite
  • Database : RDBMS (Preferably Oracle)
  • Tools : Toad, Putty, AutoSys, Discoverer Reports
  • Desired skills :
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and think innovatively
  • Experience working in Oracle E-Business Suite financial Modules, Unix Shell Script and Oracle Forms and Reports, Discoverer Reports.
  • Knowledge in Forms Personalization and AutoSys is an added advantage. Ability to work in team and be a good team player.

Work Timings: General Shift (11:00 AM to 8:00 PM)
