Join us as we apply world- class software engineering practices to solve complex Content Lifecycle Management (CLM) problems in some of the most interesting problem spaces in industry today.Our solutions are used in a wide range of functions within organizations in the aerospace and aviation industry, including: technical engineering change order management, documentation authoring and publishing, flight operations manuals, data archiving, and other workflow, documentation and maintenance products.As a Senior Software EngineerYou will design and develop Flatirons software components for our commercial clients, with a strong emphasis on elegant code, performance, error handling, commenting and validation.You take great pride in understanding the solutions you are working on, and you prepare the user stories and necessary test scenarios with a strong eye on quality.You collaborate with the Tech Lead and the Project Manager.You determine task assignments and assist the development team as necessary. You follow our best practices and communicate issues quickly so that the project goals can be met. You mentor developers on coding standards and estimating, and lead the way to keeping a high standard around methodology and standards, delivery times and documentation.We d like to talk to you if:You have strong analytical skills and can easily comprehend complex IT solutions.You have excellent written and oral communication skills in English.You have 6 or more years of experience in one or more of the following:Object oriented designRelational database designExperience in the full development cycle, from requirements analysis through operations and maintenanceYou have strong hands- on experience with:JavaXML technologies (XPath, XQuery, XSL)XML databasesYou have consulting experience and understand the concept of time is money Experience with as many of the following is a plus:HTML5/ CSS3JavaScript/ TypeScript, AngularJS, Angular 2+Spring/ Spring BootLinux, WindowsAgile development methodologyAbout UsAt Flatirons Solutions, we have a very important job.
