Job Description

Datawarehouse Developer with SQL knowledgeMust Have (Required Skills):

  • 2 - 8 years of IT experience in working on Data warehousing / Data conversion/ Data integration / Database migration projects.
  • 2 -8 years of development experience in SQL using any database environment such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MYSQL, Teradata, Netezza, HIVE, etc.
  • Experience in understanding SQL query explain plan and performing SQL optimization and performance tuning
  • Knowledge of Entity relationship & Dimensional modeling
  • knowledge of Data warehousing and it components. STAR and Snowflake Schema, Dimension, Fact and Measures.
  • Knowledge of any scheduling platform such as Autosys, Control-M, UC4, Ozzie, Airflow, Cron
  • Proficient in identifying, analyzing and solving problems
  • Able to work in a rapidly changing business environment and adopt to the fast paced environment quickly
  • Strong analytical, inter personal communication skills
  • Must possess impeccable communication skills, both in verbal and in written form
Good to Have (Preferred Skills):
  • Domain knowledge of Retail, CPG, TMT industries
  • Knowledge of Snowflake database platform and architecture
  • Knowledge of any ETL tools such as Informatica / IBM DataStage / Microsoft SSIS / SAP BODS / ODI / Talend data integration.
  • Knowledge of public cloud platform (Azure/AWS/GCP) storage, compute and ETL services
  • Knowledge of Hadoop Bigdata platform, HDFS storage, Hive, Spark
  • Knowledge of DevOps/CI & CD tools / services
  • Programming experience in Shell / Python / Java / PySpark languages
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodology
  • Knowledge of any reporting & visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Microstrategy, Cognos, Business object
  • Experience in delivering projects in a highly collaborative delivery model with teams at onsite and offshore
Responsibility-
  • Register for Tredence academy Snowflake & Python learning path and complete identified training program in defined schedule
  • Understand client technology landscape, solution architecture, data model, sources, targets
  • Understand the client functions and business requirement
  • Converting business requirements into Snowflake SQL queries and stored procedure
  • Understanding client reporting requirements and source data elements
  • Helping in translating requirements into of Logical, physical data model. Developing data dictionary
  • Designing database tables and structures, Creating views, functions and stored procedures
  • Maintain code quality, SQL performance and security
  • Review of client deliverables (data mode, code, testing documents)
  • Support Integration, regression and performance testing
  • Support in implementation of CICD for database objects
  • Develop User guides and runbooks for support engineer
