Job Description

One of Chennai s fastest growing tech startups, with its head office in Chicago, is looking for a Senior Specialist, Accounts Receivable to join the Finance team at Fourkites. The Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist is primarily responsible for contacting customers via email, recording customer payments, identifying billing issues and keeping customer information updated. This role requires a basic understanding of accounting principles, accounts receivable and cash application, collections, problem-solving and organization. The successful candidate will have the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks. A strong attention to detail, flexibility, tactfulness, and ability to handle a high volume of work is a requirement to be successful.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate customer invoices; process credits and invoice adjustments.
  • Review contracts and ensure accuracy of timely invoicing via email and third party systems.
  • Initiate reconciliation of any disputed accounts receivable to resolve discrepancies in conjunction with both sales and customer service areas
  • Assist with payment application and reconciliation
  • Interact with all Business Units, sales, customer service, finance, and other internal departments concerning credit and customer collection issues
  • Identify potential efficiencies in day-to-day work and implement automation tools/techniques to streamline payroll process and reporting.
  • Assist with special projects and/or assignments within the department in relation to payroll taxes, systems and processes.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • BS degree in Finance / Accounting / Economics preferred
  • 4-6 years of experience in collections and invoice payment processing
  • Experience processing within third party systems, such as Coupa, Arib, Taulia is a plus
  • Experience in agile & fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with financial analysis and planning software applications (Intacct, NetSuite, Adaptive Insights)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel
  • Ability to work closely and effectively in a team environment across all facets of the Company
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage competing priorities and deadline pressures effectively
