This in turn helps us to provide better support to our broad client base.Purpose:This role in Global Banking Technology is within Credit Origination portfolio for the position of [Senior Test Engineer]. Position will be key to strategic programme deliverables on Credit Approval process which includes:

  • Testing Techniques
  • Testing Tools
  • Database
  • Software Config Management
  • Systems Testing/Integrated testing
  • Scripting (Groovy/YAML/Pipeline DSL)
  • Coding (Java/Selenium/Cucumber) + Maven
  • CI / CD Implementation (Jenkins)
  • Test Documentation
  • Coaching / Team Work / Planning / Decision Making
Key Responsibilities:
  • Should be participating in testing and quality assurance activities on the Portfolio Application Platforms by adopting Agile practices Perform Quality Assurance.
  • Should be aligned to the banks Systems Delivery Framework standards.
  • Should perform and be involved in all aspects of testing Delivery to the highest standards of quality.
  • Should actively participate and be involved in all Agile ceremonies
  • Should implement automation using a BDD approach through Gherkin/Cucumber
  • Should demonstrate excellent hands on experience in building and implementing automation and should leverage the Banks official in-house test automation framework built on Open source stack e.g. Core Java & Selenium API (Web Browser) / Cucumber API and other API libraries.
  • Should demonstrate and implement back-end validation using Structured Query Language
  • Should collaborate and work with distributed teams and leverage tools like Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence.
  • Should implement automation/tools for non-functional testing.
  • Ensure self and delivery teams implement and practice all aspects of Continuous Integration and Deployment
  • Should take challenges head on and be able resolve bottlenecks / impediments.
  • Should be self-motivated and demonstrate a positive attitude.
  • It would be an advantage to possess domain / functional knowledge in Credit or Loan Origination.
PreferredCandidate Profile: Ideal candidate must have proven credentials of delivering in world class engineering teams. With a bachelor s degree in Computer Science, engineering or equivalent discipline, he/she must have relevant experience fulfilling responsibilities of the position. Must be a confident self-starter with ability collaborate and devise solutions. Must model behaviours that facilitate Agile delivery and must be willing to learn. Relevant industry certifications are an added plus.Core Competencies:

  • Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in Information Systems and apply this to the development, execution and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices
  • Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better value to the customer Identifying/Gathering/ Questioning and challenging when necessary/ documenting the interface requirements front to back
  • Elicit and test the documented business and systems requirements
  • Facilitate UAT support and other required activities
  • Identify ways to increase adoption and customer satisfaction
  • Test documentation skills and communication
Preferred competencies:
  • Detail knowledge of risk ecosystem (preferably in Corporate & institutional clients domain) with understanding of associated applications, down-streams/up-streams, products, process, and Risk regulatory framework/models/reporting.
