Job Description

the site manager is responsible for the coordination and control of the construction project from the design stage right through to completion and handing over of the structure or facility. The most important responsibility is the handling of any delays caused by bad weather, trade union disputes, and delays in delivery of material, accidents and other emergencies. Sourcing construction materials, estimating the projects timescale and ensuring its completion within the agreed period, selecting suitable sub-contractors and overseeing deliveries are all important parts of this position, for which a degree in project or construction management is an essential qualification Site Managers are required to supervise and organise daily work on a building site. They are in control of all operations, including progress, planning, labour relations, and cost planning. These managers team up with other professionals like sub contractors, consultants and clients representatives in order to make sure that the job is completed within budget and on time.Site managers are responsible for ensuring that a construction project is completed on time and within budget.
