The Software Engineer - Business Intelligence will use their functional expertise and technical knowledge to help develop Ingram Micro s Business Intelligence products, systems, platforms and solutions. position will be responsib le for the infrastructure tasks of Data Engineering by using ETL SSIS), database development, , stored procedure programming, and fine tune the performance of SQL Section 3: Responsibilities, Supporting Actions & End- Results Build and develop BI products, systems and solutions that meet business requirements. dentify and resolve DB and Develop in- depth understanding of underlying data, data structures, and business uses to ensure products and solutions meet client needs. Responsible for the development, deployment and maintenance of business intelligence products and solutions. Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines and repeatable processes. Drive functional testing and user acceptance testing as defined in requirements. Deploy, support and maintain BI products, systems and solutions in production environments. Coordinate across functional teams to identify dependencies, cross team issues and potential risks as well as formulate end- to- end solution opportunities and reference models. Provide support as required to ensure the availability and optimized performance of BI products and solutions for both external and internal users. Active participation to BI track to ensure all customer SLAs are met. Monitor the SLAs for all incidents specific to the BI process and report to management. Ability to research and solve all problems that are vague and unidentified with little or no relationship to data. Section 4: Job Qualifications and Educational Requirement A Bachelor s or related fields + years of experience in: BI, Data Warehousing and Enterprise Reporting specific experience Expertise knowledge of Architecture and ETL Processes Prior Retail or distribution or multi- site experience preferred. Experience in Microsoft Dynamics, Eloqua or Jira Workflow Required Skills: Excellent SQL skills (T- SQL, stored procedure programing, functions, triggers) . Proficient in ETL platforms (SSIS or Informatica etc.) . Expert of report/ dashboard building using any major BI platforms (MicroStrategy or SSRS, or Business Objects etc.) and presenting it in a user- friendly manner to the analyst or business user. Proven skill in data ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Load) - for extracting data from a specific source, applying transformation rules, and loading it into the data warehouse Area. Demonstrated knowledge of relational database and multidimensional data warehouse design. Functional knowledge of the BI processes and understanding of global supply chain management and execution processes. Excellent problem- solving skills and a diligent work ethic. Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented, able to work effectively under deadlines in changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently. Exposure to one or more of the following technologies would be an added advantage Web frameworks ASP.NET, MVC 1- 6, ASP.NET Web A PI , ASP.NET Web Forms (older technology) skills of creating interactive web applications: client- side technologies like CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and Bootstrap Desktop frameworks such as WPF with XAML or Win Forms (older technology) MVC or/ and MVVM design patterns Communication frameworks such as WCF, ASP.NET Web Api , Web Services (old technology) C# build tools TFS, Team City, Jenkins, Cruise Control .NET,
