About Cloud & Network Services(The below business group introduction text should not be edited; remove this observation once having finalized the job description)Cloud and Network Services is a leading Nokia business group that offers Network solutions on Core, Business and Enterprise segments, as well as Cloud solutions and Cognitive Services. It is a newly formed business group, that includes most of the former Nokia Software business, Nokia s enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its former Global Services unit. This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services (CNS) will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.Job DescriptionDevelops customer solution architecture in dedicated area of competence.

  • Provide technical/architectural guidance to solution engineers working on developing test scripts using Python language to test 5G/4G/3G call flows.
  • Able to group & convert various customer specific test scenarios into high level solution design and proactively identify test tools to automate the same.
  • Responsible for overall execution of test (automation/manual) projects in area of 5G/4G/3G/2G technologies, across IMS/EPC/SDM domains for various Nokia customers.
  • Strong scripting expertise using Python language.
Proposes on products in customer solution and initiates necessary evaluations and validations. Keeps the knowledge of the dedicated customer architecture in dedicated technical area and regional requirements. Understands and captures the critical inputs of stakeholders, and translates them into effective requirements and solutions. Specifies and designs effective end-to-end solutions, through the high as well as low level design of architecture, to meet customer needs in a market positioning prospective. Applies solution architecture standards processes and principles, to create and maintain a solutions integrity over time, including verification that the solution meets the clients requirements. Develops the full scope of the solution, working across organisations to achieve workable solutions. Researches, designs, plans, develops and evaluates an effective solution in specialised domains to meet customer s requirements and outcomes, thanks to high as well as low level design of architecture. Applies solution architecture standards processes and principles, to create and maintain a solutions integrity over time. Works effectively in a mixed environment and uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. Has in-depth business knowledge and uses understanding of how relevant areas integrate to achieve objectives. Uses advanced analytical skills to solve complex problems or problems that do not have routine solutions and takes a new perspective. Shares initial ideas for professional direction of own organisational unit. Acts as a professional advisor and mentor for staff / workteam / taskforces. May lead projects with manageable risks and resource requirements or small teams, handles day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work.Job Responsibilities & CompetenciesKey Responsibilities

Mandatory Skills:
  • Should have 10+ years of relevant experience in Telecom Domain.
  • Good expertise on 5G/4G/3G technologies and should be familiar with the network call flows
  • IMS/SDM/EPC domain knowledge
  • Wireshark packet analysis
  • Experience in Protocol testing including HTTP2, SIP, MAP, Diameter.
  • Experience in developing reusable test automation scripts using Python and Robot Framework.
  • Good understanding of Agile scrum methodologies.
  • Handson experience in Docker containers and Kubernetes.
  • Good understanding of Telco Cloud technologies such as VNFI, Open Stack.
  • Sound knowledge in Linux/CentOS, TCP/IP stack
  • Deep understanding of public cloud infrastructure.
Nice to have skills:
  • Experience in using Spirent (Landslide), SIPP, IPSL protocol simulator
  • Experience in working in Nokia specific IMS, EPC, SDM products and solution
  • Understanding of 5G network elements and interfaces is plus.
  • Understanding of Devops methodologies and tools
  • Indepth understanding and handson of ML/AI is expected
