Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • The ideal candidate will possess customer-facing skills that will allow him/her to represent AISPL well within a customer s environment and drive discussions with senior personnel within the company, as well as a technical background that enables him/her to easily interact and give guidance to software developers and architects. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
  • Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a key technical member of the ISV team in helping to ensure customer success in building applications and services on the Amazon Web Services platform.
  • Provide architectural guidance and recommendations on running applications efficiently and reliably on AWS platform
  • Assist solution providers with the definition of technical strategies that will enable them to present their offering on the AWS platform
  • Develop technical content, such as white papers and reference architectures, that can be used by our customers and partners to assist them in deploying cloud-based solutions
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge with our broader Solution Architect community
  • Perform architectural reviews, deep dive workshops and share best practices with customers.
  • Participate in evangelising AWS cloud at events, user groups, and hackathons/hackfests
  • Share customer feedback to internal product management and engineering teams to help drive the future of AWS cloud
  • Scope each customer engagement, with attention towards clear and well-defined objectives and success criteria.
  • Own each technical engagement, and help ensure a timely and successful delivery of value. (delivery of actual solutions to be done by APN partners
, BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • The right person will be highly technical and analytical, possess 18-20 years of current solution architecture (implementation/consulting) experience
  • Significant hands-on product development, implementation or consulting experience with large multi million dollar customer accounts
  • Experience with software development/Product engineering processes, concepts and tools
  • Experience architecting infrastructure solutions in both Linux/Unix and Windows with specific recommendations on server, load balancing, HA/DR, & storage architectures.
  • Experience architecting using J2EE, micro-services, DevOps
  • AWS specific experience working from a dev/ops perspective a bonus.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors/Masters Degree in computer science, engineering, IT or equivalent technical degree
  • Experience supporting ISV partners and programs
