Manager, Infrastructure Operations->> Manages and leads the daily activities of multiple teams or a large and/or moderately complex infrastructure operations support teams, including assistant managers, responsible for file transmission and equipment hardware suport services. Ensures efficiency in meeting internal and external client expectations. Provides guidance and sets policies for the area.Sets policies for and manages regular preventative maintenance, equipment alignment and calibration. Evaluates and selects replacement alternatives. Sets policies for the processes needed for the operation of tape destruction and rotation. Manages teams to ensure appropriate staff coverage on priority tasks. Researches best practices and leads implementation of changes in the tape rotation process.Reviews unique assigned file transmission requests to ensure they are completed by BNY Mellon approved standards. Meets with stakeholders from the Infrastructure Operations team to determine future support issues that will arise for internal and external clients. Coaches team members and leads staffing, performance evaluations, and other HR functions such as recruiting and training. Manages multiple infrastructure operations support teams. Supports the achievement of team objectives. Bachelors degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required 6 + years of experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus. QualificationsThe Decommission Administrator role will require a candidate with the ability to follow scripted (developed or process driven) actions to decommission assets within the BNYM Data Centers. This includes SA type functions/rights in order to remote into and power down assets via console or through ILO and other means, as well as troubleshooting, and working with other teams in order to ensure the proper powering down of resources as required. Also included in the role s responsibilities are general (or preferred advanced) scripting abilities to combine and streamline processes in order to provide a more automated and fluid decommission process.
