Job Description

Thirdware Solution Limited is a multinational IT Business and Consulting Company in Enterprise Application Space (EAS) is recruiting SQL Server DBA Role: SQL Server DBA Location: Chennai Skills Required:

  • Strong in SQL server administration (HA, performance tuning, backups, monitoring, auditing)
  • Good PowerShell scripting knowledge
  • SQL on Linux and Azure
Position Description:
  • Responsible for the DBA operation support globally
  • Co-ordinate with customers / other teams / vendors in resolving requests and incidents.
  • Installation and configuration of SQL Server DBs
  • Implementing changes to the database objects
  • Providing assistance to the application team in identifying database problems
  • Executing backup and recovery of the database as and when required
  • Exposure to TDP / TSM / Catalogic for data backup and recovery
  • Database Security adherence.
  • Process adherence, process improvements and knowledge management
  • Involve in problem management
  • Working knowledge on SCOM / Vrops / monitoring tool
  • Manage and maintain the health state of the servers.
  • Exposure to always-on configurations.
  • Automate the daily tasks using PowerShell.
  • Support Azure databases
