Job Description

  • Design and develop data warehouse solutions, including design, development, and implementation of the data integration / ETL processes.
  • Be a subject matter expert and provide consultation to business partners such as analysts, management, end users, and developers to clarify requirements, determine scope / estimates, drive design discussions, code reviews, and performance tuning.
  • Self-starter and willingness to take the initiative and comfortable in a fast paced environment.
Skills Requirement:
  • Experience in designing / developing large scale data integration preferably on MPP platforms.
  • Teradata expertise is a must; Extensive knowledge of SQL and performance tuning techniques.
  • Experience with Hadoop, Oracle and SQL Server a plus.
  • Familiar with data movement techniques and best practices to handle large volumes of data.
  • Extensive ETL development experience, preferably using Informatica.
  • Experience in scheduling batch jobs using workflow monitor/Autosys/Appworx.
  • Knowledge of Unix and shell scripting is highly preferred.
  • Experience in testing data warehouses systems and have defined test approaches for data warehouse projects.
  • Experience in creating Test plan, test cases and engineering best practices related to software test engineering, both manual and automated testing.
  • Experience coordinating testing activities and optimizing test cycles working with project team.
  • Familiar with data warehousing architecture and data modeling best practices.
  • Hands on data modeling experience using Erwin is preferred
  • Knowledge of Python scripting is desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Experience interfacing with business owners and SMEs to analyze business requirements and provide technical designs for development.
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile methodology.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, multiple-priority environment.
Experience Requirements:
  • At least 7 years of hands-on DW/BI development as an individual contributor, ideally with a large-scale database /analytics environment. Experience as ETL QA is a plus.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field highly desirable.
