Job summaryThe FireTV QS team is looking for high-energy, detail-oriented, and technically-savvy Senior Device Associates to perform test execution on Amazon s devices.You will deliver when SOPs may not be well defined but the standard test methods or processes are clearly defined. You will require the ability to conceptually understand the flow of work and have knowledge of guidelines and procedures governing work activities. You will demonstrate ability to efficiently use appropriate software, tools and technology.Key job responsibilities Execute test plans & test cases, creating test data, and reporting results in a timely, clear, and concise manner. Should have understanding of the functionality of the project/product. Should have the ability to stay connected with changing requirements and documentation. Should be able to actively look for gaps in test cases and look beyond test cases for issues/bugs. Should execute processes to thoroughly test product changes. Should be agile and be responsive to changing priorities in projects and be quick at changing course of testing. Should have the ability to backtrack and do a root cause analysis of bugs/issues.A day in the lifeConsistently executes test cases and analyze results in a timely manner.Generates logs to document testing phases and defects. Effectively reports bugs and errors to development teamsProvides floor support for any queries raised in their respective area and unblocks the DAs. Responsible for the quality of the components/features owned.Spots training needs, mentors new DA hires, supports and unblocks them.Comes up with initiatives that helps the project key metrics like productivity, defect leakage and quality in test areas owned. Requires detailed understanding of the components or features of the product owned.
