Job Description

  • Analyzes new requirements and uses cases to develop test approach and deliverables (test approach & architecture, scenarios, test conditions, test cases, test data, and expected results)
  • Develops, maintains and executes automated integration, technical, performance and functional/UI testing scripts using several automation frameworks
  • Provides expertise in planning, constructing and executing performance test scripts and automation approach and drive quality in our solutions
  • Develops, updates, and maintains testing standards and procedures, and develops test coverage approach and maintains test plan in test management tool
  • Develops custom tools, utilities or approaches, as required to test the application and features for functional and non-functional requirements
  • Reports test-planning and test-execution progress, defect tracking, sprint and release level quality and risk status
  • Responsible for entering test cases, analyzing results and documenting defects in defect tracking tool
  • Participates in the release management and quality process to validate that solutions meet business requirements
  • Applies both business and functional knowledge, develop end to end performance testing strategies, using performance processes and methodologies and coach others across skill group
  • Supports agile teams on unit performance test strategy, scope, and implementation
  • Participates in release testing efforts through performance script creation/execution, analysis of performance test results, updating scripts, reporting of defects, and developing final reports
  • Conducts peer reviews of performance test deliverables and provides feedback and coaching. Contribute by refining the standards driving improvements
  • Tracks and Reports metrics for quality results and status reporting, lead trend analysis and implement action plan
  • Escalates as appropriate as resource challenges arise including suggesting risk mitigation plan
  • Assists with planning, creation, control, and maintenance of the performance test environments
  • Tests release installation procedures in distributed environments and escalate defects as necessary
  • Participates in and lead Delivery Retrospectives as appropriate
  • Troubleshoots performance defects and attempt to remedy at the system level. Investigate the code level
