Job Description

    Responsibilities & Key Deliverables A) Responsibilities : 1) Design, Implementation of Automotive Mechanisms (Window Regulator, Door Handles, Check arm, Wiper System, Latches etc) 2) Interact with Suppliers to meet SOR (Requirements list) and DVP 3) Upgrade Benchmark Database 4) Upgrade Guidelines, DVPs, DFMEAs, SOR and related documentations 5) Concerns resolution thru DOE, Interface signoff and EN release 6) VAVE (Cost Saving) 7) CAD preparation and release in teamcentre B) Key Deliverables : 1) Concept layout generation for Automotive Mechanisms and Master Section generation 2) Detail packaging and layout preparation 3) Design & ensure Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) requirements 4) Design & ensure Serviceability requirements 5) VAVE (Design for low cost) 6) DFMEA, IFMEA 7) Support for Validation and implementation 8) Interface signoff completion, BOM, Add-Del, ECN release 9) Support for Manufacturing and Implementation 10) Upgrade system database (Guidelines, DVPs, Master DFMEA, Master SOR etc) Experience 2 to 6 years Industry Preferred Qualifications Graduate/Post Graduate in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering General Requirements A) Domain Functional Knowledge : 1) Automotive Mechanism Design & Engineering (Master Sections, NVH, FEA, Weight, Cost, Performance, Durability etc) 2) Automotive Mechanism Manufacturing and constraints 3) Automotive Mechanism Assy and constraints 4) Automotive Mechanism Materials knowledge (for lower weight, better NVH, better performance, low cost etc) 5) Automotive Mechanism Benchmark knowledge and latest technology & trends 6) Automotive Mechanism RWUP and Serviceability B) Tools and Technique - knowledge and Skills : 1) DFMEA, IFMEA, Design Review 2) DOE, TRIZ 3) GD&T 4) Tolerance Stackup 5) DFMA 6) Pugh Matrix, Pareto 7) VAVE 8) CAE results interpretation 9) IPR and Patents 10) Design for anti corrosion C) Software Skills : 1) CATIA V5 2) MS office (Excel, PPT, Projects) 3) CATIA V5 Kinematics 4) Teamcentre 5) Q-checkerJob Segment: Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, CAD, Drafting, Systems Engineer, Engineering ,
