The Sr. Applications Analyst is responsible for designing , configuring , and supporting JDA (formerlyManugistics) Supply Planning applications (Fulfillment , Inventory Optimization , Master Planning). This individual functions as a lead business analyst in translating business requirements into system solutions , performs issue resolution for application users and provides detailed knowledge and thought leadership on information technology for Supply Planning solutions. This position requires extensive experience with application development and support , a demonstrated ability in developing effective technology solutions and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. This individual must have a track record of delivering high quality solutions on - time and with a high level of customer service. RESPONSIBILITIES:Work with business owners and users in clarifying needs and requirements for their technical issues related to the configuration , performance , and enhancements of their Supply Planning applicationsEnsure the application is available and resolve second level support questions on the applicationEscalate application issues to JDA Support when necessaryDesign of application security (users / roles / profiles)Identify and coordinate data related issue resolutionTranslate user business requirements and expectations into cost effective technical solutions which includes deliverables , work plans and project implementation requirementsMaintain consistent process and functionality documentation across all applications and its environmentEnsure compliance with configuration standards and proceduresFacilitate and participate in business process design workshopsParticipate in integrated testing activities for implementation projects and initiativesLead application upgrades , patches and approve changes to the application system software or hardwareReview user procedures and training materials and conduct end user training classesMaintain communication channels between all stakeholders in the business and ITQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors Degree in Business , Computer Science or equivalent experienceExperience and solid working knowledge of JDAs Fulfillment and Master Planning modules requiredMinimum 5 years IT experience or heavy involvement in development and support of application development and configurationMust have demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skillsAnalytical and detail - oriented individual able to query and analyze data (PL / SQL skills a plus)Understands the system development lifecycle process (understanding of SDLC and / or Agile a plus)Superior customer service and communication skills are required , along with the ability to take initiative , follow through and lead by examplePC skills are required , along with the ability to learn and utilize new software applicationsAble to work well with all level of employeesAbility to work with highly confidential information in a professional manner,
