Sr Lead Engineer Electrical &Electronics

Job Description

• Lead team with Design, Development & integration of electrical and electronic system for the Projects/ Platforms, meeting time, quality, Cost, weight targets and integrate all the systems / features for the Projects.

• Interaction with Industry professionals for new technology for E&E aggregates, system and its application road map with current as well as new projects.

• To achieve the cost savings, through VAVE and optimizing technique. without compromising feature(s) and quality level of the parts.

• Allocation and monitoring of E&E resources for new/ upgrade programmes for timely execution as per project plan.

• Lead team with efforts to leverage existing knowledge base in different areas of improvements, new technologies in COE and provide the necessary support to other dept in terms of knowledge requirements.

• To minimize warranty failures on the E&E systems and to provide fast response to the issues.

• To continuously track the trends and methods in improving the robustness of the E&E system and implement the most vital and essential techniques.

• Conduct Robust Reviews, Design Review, DFMEAS, control on drawing release & vehicle for all necessary parameters to ensure first time right product delivery.

• Develop team for superior delivery/ performance i) motivate and guide subordinates to enable them to achieve dept, organisational goals ii) periodic review with subordinate performance, provide the feedback for development needs, organize training for enhance the capability, skill set and requisite processes within the organization.

• To guide team to finalize scoping E&E System requirements, deriving the E&E architecture, Communication Protocols of vehicle including CRDe System with Trem IV, Tier 4 Final Emission

• Interact with other System Leads to define Specification for vehicle level diagnostics, Various Controllers, Instrument clusters, infotainment for both Hardware (circuit level) and software levels for understanding and execution.

• Effectively collaborate the various CFTs and deliver the product to the necessary vehicle platforms

• Bringing New technology which is compatible with Precision farming

• Initiate and conduct periodical meetings with Integration, Styling, Project Teams and other interfacing departments for packaging data.
• Ensure that all the potential failure data is captured in design validation.
• Ensure that the Field Failure Data is constantly monitored.
• Make sure that a proper Technical cum Statistical Analysis is carried out for all the field failures.
• Maintain Data Bank for bench mark data on various aspects like Functionality of Systems, Features, Cost Particulars, Weight Data & Best Practices Followed, etc.
• Ensure that the relevant data is shared to all team members and unable them to put in the best practices.
• Knowledge & Awareness of QFD, Zero based Costing, APQP, 7QC tools, DFMEA, DVP, VPPAP, 8D, Control plan etc.
• Systematic Project Management approach
• Knowledge and Awareness about various testing agency like ARAI, NATRIP, ICAT, VCI etc.
• Always drive the team with firm planning and mitigation options.
• Language skills - Hindi additional advantage
• Very good knowledge of electrical & Electronic system, for automobiles, Off-road, commercial vehicles.
• Knowledge of Electrical / Electronic circuitry & analytical skills to identify the root cause of failure and implement the corrective actions.
• Basic knowledge on communication like CAN, K-line, UDS, INCA, CANoe & diagnostic system.
• Knowledge on various trends, benchmarking data of automotive/ Off road electrical & electronics systems. Knowledge of different simulation/ design tools i.e Vesys, Catia V 5 R15 Opto etc. Understanding of domestic and global homologation & legislation.
• Knowledge on Quality Tools like DOE, Ishikawa, why why etc.
• Functional knowledge on Starting system, charging system, switches, Wiring harness, Lighting system, vehicle E&E Interfacing system.
• Knowledge on analog and digital signal and its interface requirements
• Knowledge of Functional safety, EMI/EMC,8D, SCAP
