We aren t all about work, we believe in a holistic development of our employees and so regularly organize recreational activities giving our employees a chance to unwind and showcase their creative side.As an organization we strongly believe in a people-centric approach with emphasis on employee engagement and work-life balance.Provide storage subject matter expertise in relation to supported storage systems to the wider IT organisation including support to group companies in their use of storage.Ensure backup coverage exists to cover the needed scope of data and that SLA targets are achievable in the event of a failure.Work with the supplier and vendor base to stay up to date on developments on the hardware and software platforms uses that will help drive Maersk s continual improvement enabling the investment in existing platforms to be maximised.Review backup and storage systems for risks, manage and mitigate them as well as ensure that storage systems continue to be supportable.Direct and guide operational colleagues in the provision/deletion and change to existing backup and storage requests.Liaise with support teams to investigate potential performance challenges.Maintain and update documentation relevant for the delivery of storage and backup,Report on storage and backup status as required.Ensuring that SOP s and knowledge articles exist for all deployed technologies.Ensuring that the storage and backup platforms are fully patchedEnsure that solutions are supportable in a scalable way without significant human intervention.Participate in all Storage & Backup Capacity related matters, including escalation point for Incident, Change and Problem ManagementShow More We are looking forSolid Infrastructure and Technical skills covering Virtualisation (Hyper-V & VMware) Platforms, (Microsoft Windows Server & Red Hat Linux) Operating systems and IBM pSystems and zSystemsStorage Virtualization Technology (IBM SVC, EMC VPLEX) and DELL/EMC, HP, IBM and NetApp Storage Systems.Server hardware & software (HP, DELL, IBM)Detailed Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage systems.Experience working with various storage connectivity technologies e.g fibre channel, iSCSI.Experience with large and outsourced environments and vendor delivery models.Experience working with at least one of the large enterprise backup technologies e.g IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, Commvault BackupAwareness of technological trend towards cloud and associated benefit that brings with regard to managed backup products and cloud storage.Disaster recovery experience/knowledgeExperience/Knowledge with ITIL Framework specially Service Operations and Service Transition,
