Job Description

    Job Title: Structural Engineer (Onshore & Offshore) Location: Chennai Experience: 5 years Industry: Oil & Gas Role: PermanentOpen Positions:
    • Onshore structural engineer (expertise in Staad Pro)
    • Offshore structural engineer (expertise in SACS)
    Responsibilities:Onshore structural engineer (Staad Pro):
    • Design and detailing of pipe supports, HVAC supports, fan and duct structures.
    • Verification of RCC and steel shop fabrication drawings.
    • Design of pipe racks, platforms, skids, monorails, canopies, warehouses, and similar structures.
    • RCC elements design, including piles, columns, beams, staircases, retaining walls, and foundations.
    • Precast design for bridges, staircases, manholes, and jacking pipes.
    • Experience in pre-engineered building structures and cold-formed structures.
    • Knowledge of scaffolding, formwork, and facade design.
    • Preparation of civil design basis during FEED and detailed engineering.
    • Leading a team while ensuring compliance with Gulf country regulations.
    Offshore structural engineer (SACS):
    • Design and analysis of topside modules, substructures, and support structures.
    • Finite element analysis, static and dynamic assessments, fatigue analysis, and in-service evaluations.
    • Pre-service analysis, including lifting, load-out, stability, and pile drivability.
    • Ensuring compliance with API, AISC, ISO, and regulatory standards.
    • Technical support during fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
    Requirements:
    • Degree in civil engineering (B.Tech/M.Tech)
    • Five or more years of experience in structural engineering within the oil and gas industry
    • Expertise in StaadPro for onshore and offshore, and SACS for offshore
    • Strong knowledge of AISC, EN, BS, UBC, IBC, API, and ISO standards
    • Experience in BIM methodology, modular buildings, PEMBs, and green building concepts is a plus
    • Leadership, client interaction, and issue resolution skills
