Job Description

As a structural engineer at our company, you will work closely with senior-level engineers to contribute to various aspects of structural design projects. Your responsibilities will include:- Assisting in structural design tasks with limited supervisory oversight- Collaborating with structural and other engineering teams to develop design solutions- Preparing structural design studies and reports- Participating in the creation of project proposalsQualifications required for this role:- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering- 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering design- Proficiency in STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, MS-Word, MS-Excel, MathCAD- Strong communication skillsPreferred qualifications:- Masters Degree in Structural Engineering- Familiarity with international standards such as BS, ASCE, IBC, AISC, ACI, ASTM- Experience in static and dynamic equipment foundations, steel structures, connection designs, etc.- Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis methods and software- Experience in structural design for various projects- Proficiency in REVIT and MicroStationThis position does not require any travel.Please note that CDM Smith may conduct background checks, including criminal, employment, education, licensure, credit, and motor vehicle checks for certain positions.
