Cardinal Support Engineering/Systems Dev Engineering team provides front-line production support, operational excellence improvements, software health maintenance enhancements, testing infrastructure upgrades, and software product release coordination and deployment support. This job requires you hit the ground running. Your ability to learn quickly and work on disparate and overlapping tasks will define your success., 2+ years of development or technical Dev/support experience Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems Experience in Unix Experience scripting in modern program languages To work at the tactical level to improve your team s projects, infrastructure, operational performance, and stability. Given a defined problem, to be able to deliver a solution which is logical, maintainable, that uses appropriate technologies, and is delivered on time. To understand the operational requirements, performance properties, & dependencies of the systems.o You are a builder who solves straightforward problems using technology solutions composed of smaller or stand-alone components and processes, including small tools and applications.o You are a participant in your team s design, scoping, and prioritization discussions, and are learning to understand how the team makes decisions within the context of business goals and customer needs.o You classify, store, and handle data in accordance with Amazon policies. To be able to help your team train and mentor interns, and participate in the hiring process. To be able to write clear, accurate and concise documentation. To be able to troubleshoot, research root causes, and thoroughly resolve customer impacting high severity tickets.o You remain calm under pressure and know when and how to ask for help when necessary.
