Job Description

NSW Digital Trust GCD is hiring a Network Analyzer Copper and Fiber support engineer. Potentially this engineer will also support the HAL and ANA product ( Analytics ) .Should have worked on Applications that manage Network Elements.Candidates should be experienced in the Telecom domain. Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Ticket Handling
  • Being an SME ( Subject Matter Expert ) in your product domain
  • Meet the agreed SLAs
  • Utilize various tools and knowledge databases available to assist in the troubleshooting process.
  • Article creation / contribute to knowledge sharing
  • Builds in house labs where needed
  • Report product improvements. Think in terms of how to avoid next time
  • Assist with small projects
  • On call support (outside business hours)
Soft Skills:
  • Team Player
  • Work with Global Teams and lead technical discussions.
  • Good Negotiation Skills.
  • Good Inter Personal Skills.
  • Good Turn Around Skills to handle critical situations.
  • Interface with various stakeholders for handling the customer issues.

Technical Skills (NA-C/F):EMS/NMS Domain Knowledge.
  • xDSL/Optical Network knowledge is advantage.
  • Prior Deployment (Installation/Upgrade) SW Experience is an asset.
  • SNMP/TFTP/SFTP/SOAP/HTTP protocol knowledge is essential.
  • Understanding of JVM internals. Previous experience with Java based applications is advantage.
  • MariaDB/ Mysql database knowledge.
  • Linux OS.
  • Shell scripting/Python is essential.
  • Knowledge of Wireshark for troubleshooting.
  • CARES/REMEDY/Salesforce tool knowledge.
  • Kubernetes/Amazon cloud knowledge is an added advantage.
Technical Skills (ANA/HAL)Networking Domain Knowledge.
  • Shell scripting/Python is essential.
  • Linux OS.
  • MariaDB/ Mysql database knowledge.
  • CARES/REMEDY tool knowledge.
  • Kubernetes/Amazon cloud knowledge is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Wireshark for troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of yaml file deployments.
  • Hadoop, HBase, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Impala, Flume, Sqoop, Hue knowledge.
- Possesses a solid understanding of systematic troubleshooting, as well as having the capabilities to identify software and hardware issues in a timely manner with minimal supervision. - Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, obtain results, and provide solutions for a broad range of technical problems. - Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills required. - Strong customer service and organizational skills. - Good understanding of Unix/Linux. - A decent knowledge in a few of this technologies is a plus : oracle DB, MariaDB, Cassandra, JBOSS, nginx, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, Docker - Product knowledge in any of the following products is a plus : HDM / SMP / CDP / IMPACT / MSM / SADM / HAL - Knowledge about the CSF ( common software foundation ) components is a plus - Ability to travel occasionaly off-site to customer locations, training schools and other required facilities when needed. - A University degree in electronics, electrical or computer science or an equivalent knowledge gained via operational experience or several years of on-job training in relevant areas. - Flexibility of time and location in performing the job - Carry mobile phone and pager and provide out-of-hour-call-out coverage - Fluent in English,
