The Tech Lead designs custom solutions and manages all aspects of development within a team environment.Responsibilities Manage and maintain development including system performance, build and deployment architecture, use of design patterns, error handling, implementation architecture, subsystem design, unit test architecture, overall coding practices Provides direction on build and deployment architecture Works independently on large design components of the system. Works in conjunction with the SA and development engineers on overall solution architecture Technical interactions with the client Technical leadership and mentoring for the project team Aware of all design decisions Communicate all aspects of architecture and design Responsible for overall solution architecture and design. In conjunction with the Project Managers, maintain schedule and feature set based on budget and customer requirements Assist in solution blueprint development. Works in customer facing roles to provide onsite and remote support, training, knowledge transfer and collaborate in detailed requirements definition and design discussions. Responsible for solution design Implements high risk and/ or high complexity components of the overall solution. Lead design and code reviews within the project Performs independent research under the direction of Directors or VP of Engineering Involved as needed in proposal activities Other duties as assigned Competency Excellent written and verbal communication skills Works efficiently with minimum supervision, operates independently on assignments Strong technical communication skills, ability to communicate with non- technical staff Recommends processing improvements and opportunities for operational enhancement Provides technical assistance and guidance to other team members Demonstrates ingenuity, initiative, and creativity Very resourceful and driven towards excellence Solid analytical and logical cognitive skills Excellent problem resolution and technical decision making abilities Well organized, dynamic, able to multitask and change focus quickly when required Self motivated, pursues knowledge acquisition and skill enhancement opportunities RequirementsEducation/ ExperienceBachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent years experience in software developmentAt least 3 years in a technical lead/ team lead/ lead designer role Knowledge of airline publishing specifications: S1000D and ATA iSpec2200 is a huge plus. Experienced with as many of the following as possible. Java, C#, C++, Objective C, other OOPL Javascript, AngularJS, JQuery XML, XSLT, DITA, SGML Mark Logic / XQuery Arbortext, XMetaL, Oxygen Oracle, SQL Tomcat, Websphere, Weblogic, app server technologies Alfresco, FatWire, WCM technologies Solid experience with the software development life cycle Solid Object Oriented Design and Programming skills. Strong hands- on software architecture, design and development skills.Experience with web development technologiesDocument Content Management Systems, XML applications, print and online publishing, publication authoringExperience with relational database design Computer SkillsMS OfficeVMWare images hosted locally on laptop and remotely on ESX servers,
