AWS Cloud Engineer This position will be responsible for analyzing application migration to cloud requirements as they relate to AWS core services. Candidate is expected to be very hands on and should possess good analysis and design skills. Candidate is expected to understand as is application landscape, target cloud architecture, build PoCs as needed, implement recurring patterns and execute the migration. Required Experience: Overall hands on experience of 7+ years with enterprise infrastructure and applications Solid hands on cloud infrastructure design and development experience on AWS In depth knowledge of key AWS services like EC2, S3, CloudFront, RDS, CloudWatch, Lambda, Step functions, Shield, IAM, Policies, EKS, VPC, Security Groups and so on Should have good working experience with Cloud-native architectures, including public cloud PaaS / IaaS, micro-services Experience with security certificates, key rotation, password management and the patterns for managing in automatic fashion Hands on experience in network programming and infrastructure as code automation (Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, Cloudformation and so on) Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies, TDD (Test Driven Development) Experience of setting up CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins), and working on AWS DevOps Experience with containerization with Kubernetes or Docker. Experience with Cloud Security principles, technologies, design and deployment Ability to write code efficiently in one programming language: Bash, Python, JavaScript, Golang, PowerShell or other. Knowledge of best practices and market trends pertaining to Cloud Experience of designing cloud solution for complex enterprise application Experience with using and setting up enterprise software such as Identify and Access Management, Logging & Monitoring and so on Health care experience will be an added advantage Application development background in Java, Spring, WebServices, Databases is preferred AWS developer certification desirable Experience with other cloud technologies is an icing on the cake Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills Desired Skills Job Description Roles and Responsibilities: Study existing technology landscape and understand current application workloads Play the role of cloud engineering and be responsible of implementing the cloud solution end to end Setup end to end infrastructural environment on cloud including private network, firewall rules, load balancers, storage Build complete environment including server/container instances, storage, network, subnets, availability zones, firewall and so on Setup and contribute in integration of enterprise solutions such as IAM, monitoring systems, ticketing system and so on Migrate the on-premise application to cloud taking care of required compliances Design and implement automated solutions for recurring patterns Develop architecture blueprints and detailed documentation. Create bill of materials, including Collaborate effectively with the development teams. Thus, having application development experience at least in your early years is preferred Design the AWS network architecture including VPN connectivity between regions and subnets Design the HA / DR strategies to achieve zero down time Look for opportunities to optimize cloud environments for cost, security, performance, etc. Drive DevOps culture and CI/CD efforts, automate everything and up best processes, services and tools around cloud Execute cloud migration plan Validate the environments to meets all security and compliance controls
