Standard Chartered Information Technology & Operations (ITO) is looking for individuals interested in using innovative new products and modern technologies to deliver world class digital experiences for our clients and customers.
• The Retail, Private Banking and Wealth Management ITO is accelerating transformation of agile banking services with DevOps and Agile practices, with an aim towards efficiency, automation, and improved transparency Delivery Sprint Teams will be at the core of delivering this agenda.
• Delivery Sprint Teams will build and integrate components of the DevOps pipeline to deliver new banking capabilities, as well as refactoring of existing applications. Sprint teams will all be experienced programmers, operations people and product owners who can develop and drive their capability development end-to-end. Breadth across both programming and system operations is required of all candidates and depth must be demonstrated in their specialization; this is a cross-functional team with cross over between development and operations with business.

• We are seeking talented and motivated individuals for the role of Technical Lead/Manager. Successful candidates will be handling experienced programmers & automation testers. They should be able to develop user stories, develop/review test cases, break down, design, and develop solutions in an environment with constant collaborative discussions. They will be matured individuals who are comfortable working in an agile environment with critical peer reviews of design and code. They must be able to offer constructive critical reviews of other s (team members) designs and code. They must be able to collaboratively work with product owners to develop use stories and test cases. They will be able to research, trial, and recommend new technologies of interest to the group. They will have experience with taking code through testing, deployment, and production and will not have merely handed off code to QA and Production Support.
• Key Skills, Roles and Responsibilities
• 8+ years of software design and development.
• Strong Experience in below:

1. Basic Java, Transaction handling, Memory handling, OOP Concepts, Exception Handling, File IO, Multithreading, JNDI.
2. JS based Frameworks (EmberJS, AngularJS, ReactJs, HTML5, CSS3, SASS).
3. Java Frameworks (Spring, Spring boot, Katharsis, Cucumber, Camel, Apache CXF, JMS), reverse proxies, gateways, web services (both ReST and SOAP), integration patterns, database technologies, ORM frameworks (myBatis and Hibernate) & TDD, BDD, performance, security testing for mobile and web.
4. DevOps toolchain experience (JIRA, Bitbucket / Stash GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory).
5. App / Web Server Tomcat / Jboss / Webshpere
6. Debugging Tools Postman / Soap UI

• Strong knowledge of Retail Banking Technology ecosystem.
• Must have knowledge of interface systems/teams and their flow.
• Self-starter, independent and able to deliver projects from scratch with strong analytical and problem solving skills & proven experience in system design and development.
• Prior experience working in an agile environment, continuous integration & testing will be a definitive advantage.
• Experience in delivering software in a regulated environment, ideally financial services based to high quality.
• Solid grounding in core enterprise applications with full software development lifecycle experience in a mature CI / CD environment.
• Advocate delivery excellence, minimising delivery risk.
• Lead a team and be accountable for the teams delivery.
• Aptitude to work as change agent that believes in a continuous improvement approach. Experience at working in a team-oriented, collaborative and consultative environment.
• Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
• Strong communication and written skills, ability to communicate your ideas with others.
