About Fixed Networks Our Fixed Networks (FN) business group provides an array of gigabit to the home solutions to deliver data access to our communication service provider (CSP) customers. This includes Fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) as well as 5G fixed wireless access (FWA), xDSL and cable upgrades. We build solutions that don t stop at the home but also bring that gigabit experience into the home using our meshed Wi-Fi solution. Job Description We are looking for a Strong DevOps Engineer as part of our Fixed Network - BroadBand Networks team to setup, monitor, administer and maintain our DevOps related Technology Infrastructure and tools.These include the management of different open-source tools related to continuous integration and continuous testing, logging and monitoring platforms, support for internal operations portals, resolving technical issues, managing cloud infrastructure.If you are looking for an opportunity to solve deep technical problems and build innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment by working with extremely smart, passionate software developers, this might be the role for you.Primary responsibilities include troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing production software issues, developing monitoring solutions, performing software maintenance and configuration, implementing the fix for internally developed code (Perl, Shell, and JAVA), tracking and resolving technical challenges.You should be detail oriented, have good verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, able to juggle multiple tasks at once, able to work independently and can maintain professionalism under pressure, mentoring junior and mid-level engineers. You are able to identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages. You have ability to accurately prioritize projects, make sound judgments, work to improve the customer experience, and get the right things done. Job Responsibilities & Competencies Must have Experience with automation / configuration management using either Puppet, Ansible, etc.,Experience in Cloud and Virtualization Platforms viz., OpenStack, AWS, KVM.Strong scripting knowledge in either Perl / Python / Shell scripting.Working knowledge of Java / J2EEKnowledge of best practices and IT operations, always-up, always-available services.Exposure to DevOps and Agile practices.Working knowledge of Docker Containers, Kubernetes, helm charts.Familiarity with JAVA build tools viz., Maven, ANT.Familiarity with Jenkins pipeline.Familiarity with Source control management systems viz., Git, SVN.3 to 8 years of software engineering background.
