Job Description

You as a Test Engineer - MACH System will be part of Hitachi ABB Power Grids business-based Chennai. As a Testing Engineer for the MACH Control Platform test group, you shall ensure that the test activities listed below, but not limited to, are performed at highest level of efficiency and quality, to the utmost satisfaction of customers. You shall have good knowledge and experience in control systems testing, microprocessors, DSPs, FPGAs, and PCBs.

Your responsibilities
  • Configuring Test Environment - Test Environment is to be created with the components of MACH Control System in the Test Lab Facility, with Computers, Servers, Input - Output Boards and Simulation Environments.
  • Develop or Write Test procedures - Write Test Cases / Scenarios for verifying the functionalities of the MACH Control System for Analog and Digital Acquisitions (System Software), Communication (Station Control Monitoring) etc.
  • Test Execution - Execution of Test Cases, for various software and hardware releases using the developed test cases in the test lab.
  • Test Reporting - Report the test execution details to the development team for further actions.
  • Maintains Test Environment - Maintain the test environment with updated software and hardware for current and future use.
Your background
  • Bachelor s degree in engineering in Electrical or Electronic or Instrumentation Engineering preferred.
  • Must have Knowledge on testing software for electrical or electronic components.
  • ISTQB certification would be a plus.
  • Deep knowledge in test case writing, test reporting and test execution.
  • Knowledge on SQL would be plus.
  • Knowledge on Manual testing, Automation Testing would be plus.
  • Knowledge on HVDC Mach Control Protection System would be plus.
  • Proficiency in English, speaking and writing.
