Job Description

  • The Supply Chain (SC) Expense Management Senior Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participating in procurement activities such as defining the need for goods and services, negotiating price contracts and authorizing payment for goods and services in coordination with the Corporate Services team. The overall objective of this role is to acquire goods and services requested by company personnel in support of the companys business.
Responsibilities:
  • Complete deliverables, and develop presentations and complex models focusing on firm s target setting and financial projections
  • Assist with the development and testing of system enhancement projects related to the areas of organization, expense, and productivity
  • Analyze specific expense categories to identify key drivers and efficiency opportunities in order to improve business profitability
  • Partner with businesses across the firm to monitor expense trends, outlooks, Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR), and annual plan
  • Support quarterly earnings and external reporting process
  • Ensure initiatives are completed to high standards and in a timely manner
  • Liaise with expense analytics team to assist with business process enhancements, ad hoc projects, and analyses
  • Monitor and train analysts and new recruits to ensure quick development
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firms reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in expense management
  • Experience in corporate reporting
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Proficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications
Education:
  • Bachelor s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Req Qualifications:
    • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent
    • Preferred background in Finance
    • Required strong interpersonal skills with large team management experience
    • Self-motivating with good leadership skills
    • High level of enthusiasm and a good team player
    • Preferred offshore vendor management experience
    • Preferred experience in migration of processes/change management
    • Preferred investment banking operations background
    • Understanding of various systems like P2P, Flexcube, GMI, GPS, EGAINS, etc. would be a plus
