Job Description

Transportation/Logistics Executive - 1 Year Contract (Extendable) IN, Chennai | Professional | Temporary | ID: 15130Vestas is the world leader in wind technology and a driving force in the development of the wind power industry. Ops > Global Supply Chain OperationsGlobal Supply Chain Operations as part of Global Supply Chain ensures to maintain the required system updates in SAP MM & SAP TM and communicate with stakeholders globally which relate Inbound Transportation, Outbound Operations & other shipments. It should have 100% timely deliverables to all stakeholders along with process initiatives. The department is operating Globally, so an International Experience will be added. We are looking for required skilled personals who are well structured, well organized, and ready to work in an International Environment with many Cultural Differences. You need to be able to handle a large amount of data/operations, coordinating with various stakeholders.Responsibilities

  • Hands-on Experience in Logistics / Freight Forwarding on Inbound, Outbound & Customs clearance
  • Transport Executions from Suppliers to Factories & Factories to Port of Loading deliveries in coordination with Forwarders & Third parties
  • Follow up on SAP TM updates based on purchase orders/requests from our stakeholders according to defined processes
  • Create Purchase Orders in SAP based on TMS Bookings, PR to PO Conversion
  • Data Updates in SAP relates to Shipment Creation & Routes & it maintenance based on business requirements
  • Complete Daily/Weekly/Monthly/ Reports/MIS/Presentations to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal customers and stakeholders related to process issues
  • Service and actively collaborate with internal stakeholder from all over the world for occurring tasks relates to Transport Services
  • Contribute to delivering the promised service level to the business
  • GR & IR reconciliations & Experience in handling workflows, transportation invoices & disputes
  • Continuous Improvement activities/Drive the projects & Process
  • Support Logistics Team stakeholders to improve logistics value chain efficiency
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in SCM or Shipping or Freight Forwarder Companies involving SCM
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Package required (Solid experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint) and SAP MM / SAP TM modules
  • Knowledge of Shipping / Freight Forwarder Process
  • Knowledge of Transport Management System in SAP is needed
Competencies
  • Ability to contribute to the standardization of processes which is automated, efficient, and low on risk
  • Effectively identify problems and implement effective solutions & customer service mindset
  • Fluent in English communication (Oral & Written)
  • Good Knowledge of Logistics / Shipping / Freight Forwarder Process
  • Knowledge on SAP MM & Transport Management System in SAP is needed
