Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business.Introduction:The individual in this role performs the CALM assist activities for the key trading wind down(TWD) infrastructure build in 2024 followed by TWD BAU mode in 2025 for the TWD Capital template generation/submission from the Capital Planning Structuring & Stress Testing Centre of Excellence within the Capital and Leverage Management Transaction Cycle. This includes the delivery of trading wind down capabilities for capital management within the Barclays Group including UK regulated entities (Barclays PLC, Barclays Bank PLC) and non-UK regulated entities (Barclays Bank Ireland).What will you be doing The individual in this role will perform a series of key activities within the Capital Planning & Stress Testing Centre of Excellence to deliver the following TWD related services to Service Recipients:During the build phase in 2024, establish as the key point of contact for the exhaustive build of the requirements listed in the TWD business requirement document for the TWD Capital template and ensure to complete/assist the design build. Collaborate with TWD project management, TWD technology, Planning & Stress testing, TWD CDO data stream and UAT testing of system changes on a timely basis to comply with the go-live date in 2025. As part of this transform, get involved in the core tech build, develop data controls/MI, agree attestation/BAU governance, finalise documentation and complete testing end to end. Design and implement an effective, efficient and controlled BAU TWD process for go live in 2025. Supporting TWD capital forecasting activities, across legal entities, through producing and reviewing TWD capital forecasts, scenario analysis and MI/Controls. Provide insights on TWD capital forecasts by carrying out key analytical reviews and preparing materials for Senior Management including Accountable Executive signoff before Submission to PRA. Optimising the work across the other TWD areas such as liquidity to identify and implement opportunities and share best practices. Provide ad-hoc support on other CALM deliverables as required (for example capital plan production and ad-hoc analysis etc).What were looking for:Driven individual interested in a role with growing responsibilities Team player, with a proven ability to interact at a wide range of levels in- and outside their own team Detail oriented and analytical thinking Project management experience and strong communication skills Good knowledge and experience in trading book and trading products Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment including the ability to deliver to tight deadlines with changing requirements Time management and capability to work independently on a number of priorities, capability to work under pressure to tight deadlines Ability to produce high quality output while maintaining strong controls by ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.Skills that will help you in the role:Affinity to work with numbers and strong Excel and PowerPoint skills Finance related University Degree or equivalent qualification (e.g. ACA, CIMA) Some experience working in a top-tier financial institution Solvency wind down experience including recovery and resolution knowledge along with understanding of key capital ratios, RWA and leverage exposure measures, and the adjustments from shareholder equity to arrive at capital measures.
