Furthermore the department supports the projects with competencies on critical tools and process adherence VPS Project Quality Assurance is a part of a global function under VPS Quality and PEX with the main focus on product development and the processes and tools associated with this. The team is located in India, Portugal and Denmark & coordinate global activities collaborating with the regional QHSE resources and other functions across globe. This position is for VPS Project Quality Assurance @ Chennai office. We are looking for FMEA Specialist, who can Improve Process Quality capabilities in VPS by standardizing and measuring processes, reduce variation, optimize time, cost and quality by conducting continues improvement kaizens and initiatives Reduce overspends, CoPQ and poor Customer satisfaction by execution of Project Quality AssuranceResponsibilities
• Be accountable for the assigned Quality deliverables or Improvement activities, its maturity and readiness in the project (sub projects or systems or Modules)
• Work closely with Advanced Quality Lead and the Project stakeholders to Ensure quality of the deliverables, on time gate pass results to safe launch
• Identify potential Quality problems and non-compliance issues and ensure appropriate risk handling activities are planned and performed to eliminate, mitigate, or control these risks
• Facilitation, Coaching and Training in using Design Quality Tools within Development projects and Process Quality Tools within Process Engineering
• Enables Project Team to perform Risk Assessment, Mitigation, Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement and ensure the quality of Vestas Way to Market Gate deliverables
Qualifications
• Bachelors /Masters in Mechanical / Electrical / Composites with 6+ years of experience out of which 5+ Years of releavent experience in Quality area
• Great Knowledge and Working experience in guiding Quality in new product development
• Certified to Six Sigma (DMAIC or DFSS) Black belt or Certification/education in advanced Quality Tools
• Very solid knowledge of DFMEA and capable of coaching others in the use of DFMEA
• APQP Certification or ISO 9001 or VDA 6.3 Certified internal Auditor
• Knowledge of QSE IT systems and tools (QDA, SAP, APIS, Vestas way to Market, SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control Plan etc)
Competencies
• Attention to details, ability to go deep, wide and finding practical solutions to propel project team
• Skilled in Problem solving and pragmatical skills
• Great collaboration, Conflict Management and communication skills
• Ability to handle Stakeholders in organization wide. Customer-focused, innovative and result-oriented
• Certification in project management such as PMP or Prince2 will be added advantage
