*JOB PURPOSE: MT&S India , part of Global MT&S under ICS division will support Global CAT E&T, Machine BU s. Closely working with global team and will support Global MH&U Engineering value chain organizations and will drive enhanced communication and collaboration with supplier partners. You will also build your professional network, engage with peers and receive guidance from mentors in the field.Enable advanced data analytics to identify and generate OPACC improvement opportunities (OIA) in business cycles and customer volatility.To enable Performance engineers of Global Drivetrain facilities to focus on improving material availability and Supplier capability, following activities will be supported by the Engineer -Value chain.Dash board , analytics support to manage past due, back orders and delivery performanceBackorder management for all major class 5 partsLead projects to resolve constraints in the network and support engineering value chain initiatives JOB DUTIES:Engineering Value chain Engineer s primary duties consist of attending all exceptions and collaborating with PSLD teams and suppliers and dealer teamsDevelop high performance Analytics Dashboards to measure the Information Flow and Material Flow in the source to dock space using data visualization tools such as Tableau / PowerBi. Deliver on TCO Analytics, forecasting, value chain constraint predictions, and results governance.Drive source to point of use/storage analytics projects to improve part delivery as well as Inventory for global DRIVETRAIN facilities.Develop Three Month Out (TMO) Predictive model for each DRIVETRAIN, BU facility using the data analytics., *BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:Value Chain Engineer may qualify for the positions with a bachelor s degree.Experience working PSLD are /network is desiredShould have strong knowledge and work experience in CAT processes and products Working experience in assembly and manufacturing process, components design is preferableGood understanding of L1-L6 product structure and its impact on the bill of material(BOM /MBOM) from a Make Vs buy perspectiveExperience in managing complex projects and translating client pain areas to dashboarding opportunities would be desireableExposure to shop floor experience in Assembly, manufacturing and other activities such as Scheduling, Warehousing, Inventory management in the Manufacturing Industries.Should have deep expertise in ERP systems production planning module. SAP (PP , MM) knowledge and work experience is preferableExperience in PSLD support would be added advantageExpertise in Tableau / Power BI analytic tools, Data analytics capability , SQL, R Studio / Python (Predictive modelling tools) for creating Engineering value chain dash boards.Need better communication skills, Critical thinking Skills and Problem-solving skills.The job requires advanced data organization skills, as analysts must keep several databases and spreadsheets detailing the various elements and aspects of inventory.Strong Excel skills (proficiency in pivot tables, v look-ups, and if statements)Strong analytical skills able to identify anomalies in data and solve them quickly.Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with excellent follow-up and attention to detail; Active team player.Ability to learn and passion to learn new tools and methods and train others would be highly expected
