Job Description

*Position PurposeBNP Paribas Asset Management is part of BNP Paribas Group and is responsible for the process of managing and monitoring assets, on behalf of individual and corporate clients. BNPP AM offers funds and mandates towards his clients. Portfolio Managers, who are based in the different locations across the globe, manage these funds & mandates. Investment Operations is responsible for handling and monitoring all services, in order that the Portfolio Managers are able to manage daily their portfolios.As a Vice President, the person would be leading department of Asset Management Investment Operations having a total size of 60 team members towards more efficient and energetic team. He / She needs to manage changes and client requirements along with market initiatives. Currently there are 3 main categories of processes which are supported by GSO AMIO Team to AM Brussels, they are: Reference Data (Security Master, Benchmarks & Pricing), Reconciliations (Cash & Asset) and Reporting.ResponsibilitiesDirect Responsibilities

  • To head a department consists of 60 FTE s approx.
  • Act as a GSO point of contact for BNPP AM Brussels in terms of Service Delivery and financials (FTE cost, monthly billings etc.)
  • Monitor the performance via KPIs and KRIs of the department
  • Participating/Leading the monthly governance meeting between GSO & BNPP AM.
  • To manage and ensure all requirements needed for delivering the BAU by understanding the client deliverables.
  • To be a pro-active understanding the client requirement and setup necessary infrastructure for the team.
  • Manage and co-ordinate for all recruitment related in any new incoming processes and for any attrition within the department.
  • To manage any internal audits within the department.
  • Have close tab of all critical processes that can have financial impact to BNP
  • Create a robust control framework for the department
  • Should maintain and manage local stake holders including other departments and support functions
  • Manage Global stake holders including Locations and Project teams
  • Create a culture of ownership and accountability within the department by exhibiting the lead by example behavior.
  • Ensure that the team is continuously engaged
  • Being organized and ensure the team provide the deliverables with in deadlines.
Clear understanding and previous experience of managing the Middle Office Operations, Pricing, Reconciliations, Reference Data and Reporting.Understanding or prior experience in Fund Accounting would be an added advantage for the role., *Specific Qualifications (if required)Client FocusComplete commitment to provide professional, intelligent and timely responses to our clients needs and to changes in the market.CommunicationOral: Expressing ideas effectively in individual and group situations.
