JOB PURPOSE:Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Financial and Management information within CIB/CB for India. Provide value added financial information and analysis to India CIB and CB segments to support their decision making and strategic development.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESBusiness Support:Partner with Business heads to drive and manage performance for India CIB and CBPartner with Product Heads to drive and manage performance for FM, CF and TBProvide timely & accurate financial information / MIS to enable strategic decision makingProvide coordination and support during forecasting, budgeting and monthly reporting cycles for India CIB in co-operation with business heads and Regional / Country finance functionsAnalyze business performance (management and financial), review highlight risks and opportunities and drive actions to ensure committed financial outcome.Drive effective cost management through a rigorous cost control and investment management processSupport IN ALCO for capital and liquidity inputs and active balance sheet management for strategic planningEnsure support to business stakeholders on regular and ad-hoc management meetings (e.g. MBR and CMT)Provide delivery ownership and control over all CIB and CB outcomes across processes including accounting and controlEnsure impact on business performance outcomes is managed due to change in upstream or downstream processesFinancial Controls:Ensure robust financial processes in place to report revenue, cost and balance sheet for CIB and CB in an accurate and timely mannerEnsure compliance with Group / IFRS accounting principles and practices, Financial Control policy, and other regulatory accounting guidelinesEnsure timely and correct submission of financial returns to various internal and external authorities and stakeholdersTeam Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness:End to end support to India Business Finance team covering all outcomes for e.g. business performance reports, month end journal postings, cost accruals and FCS reconciliationsLead and manage the team and to develop the staff to take up different/more value added rolesCollaborate with Group / Regional / Country Finance colleagues in providing quality management information and review of business plans and strategiesContribute in any ad-hoc finance related projects, including providing support to Finance Transformation initiatives as well as simplification of bank processEnsure GFS service levels are maintained in line with onshore requirementsKEY RELATIONSHIPSINTERNAL:India CIB CB Business HeadsIndia FM, CF, TB Product HeadsIndia CFO and Country FinanceASA Regional Finance TeamGroup Finance TeamGFS Chennai Support TeamEXTERNAL:External AuditorsCONTRIBUTES TO:Quality of decision making within the businessInfluences and challenges issues, providing judgement and assessment of impact of proposed actions / activities on performance and strategyUphold the control and compliance culture in the bankEXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:A mature finance profession with relevant experience in financial services industryExperienced in corporate banking products, booking models, accounting treatmentsSound understanding of international accounting standards requirements, business analysis techniques, risk management methodologies, project management techniquesA high degree of integrity and ability to challenge the views and actions of others in a constructive manner,
