Come and Join us at Vestas!Digital Business Transformation > Service Analytics > Analytics Development Analytics Development team is part of Service Analytics-Digital Solutions, the data insights center of excellence (CoE) for the Service organization at Vestas. This team is responsible for creating data products using the latest technology, that create value by solving business requirements or risks, in coordination with Product Managers, Product Owners and Scrum Masters, also part of the Service Analytics organization. The data products are crucial for the Service business unit, a +10k people organization that relies on these data insights for data-focussed decision-making and performance management.Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain scalable data pipelines for analytics use cases in service operations area
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements; own the delivery of data modelling and data pipelines
• Develop complex & physical data models using optimal data model structure for data warehouse and data mart designs to support technical needs
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc
• Collaborate with technology and platform management partners to optimize data sourcing and processing rules to ensure appropriate data quality
• Hands-on role (100%) - building data solutions using best practices and architecture recommendations
Qualifications
• Bachelor s / Master s in engineering (Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or similar)
• ETL/Data pipeline tools related Azure and Databricks certifications will be an added advantage
• Relevant hands-on experience in data modeling and data engineering, with proven history of applying data engineering for enabling business analytics
• Previous experience from exposure to multi-cultural and international organizations
• Has been working as a Data Engineer for 4+ years, with an overall experience of 6-8 years
Competencies:
• Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases (RDBMS, Datawarehouse, Datalake)
• Experience in building and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT & data transformation pipelines to support continuing increase in data volume and complexity
• Enterprise working experience in business intelligence/analytics teams supporting design, development, and maintenance of backend data layer for BI/ML solutions
• Good working knowledge in Microsoft SQLServer or other RDBMS databases, with experience in developing data workloads using SQL/Procedures to build data layer for BI/analytics is mandatory
• Hands-on working experience in one of the Data Integration tools like Databricks/Azure Data Factory/SSIS/Informatica/similar tool is mandatory
• Experience/working knowledge in Azure ecosystem (Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Synapse Analytics) or Snowflake Datawarehouse
• Hands-on working experience in DBT (Data Build Tool) to build ELT workloads and in SSAS/Azure Analysis services to build tabular models
• Proficiency in code management / version control tools such as GIT, DevOps
• Strong in software engineering fundamentals; experience in an Agile/Scrum environment preferred
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders across different geographies and collaborate with analytics & data science teams to match technical solutions with customer business requirements
• Curious and interested in building value-creating and innovative data solutions
• Fluency in English and have good communication, presentation skills
