We have multiple positions open in Qualcomm, Chennai from 2 to 12 years of experience in designing, developing, unit testing, bug fixing and maintaining WLAN firmware. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. 2-12 years of relevant hands-on technical experience in years Software Engineering, Unit and System Test or related work experience. 2-12 years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++. Preferred Qualifications: The outstanding ability of C/C++ language 2-12 years of hands-on technical experience in developing drivers and embedded software. Hands-on experience in data structures. Good knowledge of OS theory, RTOS, multi-threading and system architecture. Experience in the software development cycle design, implementation, and testing Ability to quickly triage & analyze issues found in unit and system test, come up with the design and implementation solutions. Ability to work on system-level end-to-end use case design and validation. Knowledge of wireless industry standards (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/ad) and RF will be a strong plus. Networking knowledge and sniffer analysis is a plus. Job Function: As part of WLAN embedded software group, you will be responsible for, designing, developing and bug fixing WLAN software modules, implementing test suits to perform unit and system-level tests, maintaining WLAN embedded software components that implements functional aspects of WLAN features. working with functional teams in the group across the globe to ensure the quality and stability of the software being delivered
As part of this team, you will be working on cutting edge WiFi technologies, solving challenging WiFi design & performance issues and working with some of the leading WiFi ODMs & OEMs across the globe on their sometimes high pressure & tough timelines. Co-work with Hardware designer to verify hardware (MAC) features and debug hardware (MAC) issues; Co-work with Driver team to debug software/firmware interface issues; Co-work with algorithm team to diagnose WLAN RF systems performance issues. Co-work with system team to come up with test plans, test setups, and automation test suites to validate WLAN features
