Job Description

    Educational Qualification: B.Sc Computer Science / B.E or B.Tech Computer ScienceExperience: 1 to 3 yearsLocation: Chennai (Outstation candidates must be flexible to relocate to Chennai)Participates in an Editorial or Content Operations team and assists in the creation and/or acquisition, preparation and delivery of assigned content and information for creating products and product functionality in all publication media (print or electronic). The primary focus at this entry level is training with some supervision. The XML mapping transformation of Publisher source XML files (Journals, Books, articles, Publisher information) to Single Format Science XML file. This is an effort to eliminate multiple platform INI transformation. The project aimed at creating a single INI file (Instead of 80 INI files) called as Science INI file which transformed all Publisher XML data into a single readable XML file called Science XML that our front-end software could read. Primary Responsibilities of this role:
    • Parsing, Validation, and Testing of XML Files
    • Maintenance and enhancement of Schema and DTDs
    • Analyzes and prepares documents for conversion using DTDs (Document Type Definition), in-house documentation, and knowledge of the product requirements for all media formats.
    • Coordinate project activities with schema developers, testing team and functional support team.
    Requirements :
    • Good Knowledge of DTD, Schema and XML tagging/coding for books and journals
    • Good analytical skills
    • Biblio Content knowledge
    • Document-based or product XML and relational content analysis and design preferred.
    • Candidate should be dynamic and self-driven
