Job Description

Role Summary:

Engineer will perform the assembly of Positioners (Smart Valve Interface) accordingly Corporate Engineering Specification. He is responsible for new assembly, calibration, and diagnostics of Masoneilan instruments, trouble shooting of digital control technology and the associated instrumentation. He is also responsible for developing and implementing flawless assembly execution. Aggressively initiate new processes and methods that will improve safety, reduce product cost, Lead Time andor improve product quality.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Keen to Learn and development Electronic manufacturing assembly process and develop system, production process including tooling and equipment.
  • Assembly of Positioners consist of microelectronic components connectors, IP convertors, PCPs and mechanical assemblies
  • Install and assemble of electronic systems based on technical specifications.
  • Resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent.
  • Execute functional goals with respect to safety, quality, cost, delivery, and compliance.
  • Continuously improve manufacturing, test, assembly and process for all assigned products processes
  • Meet the plant metrics on Safety, Quality, Delivery, productivity and cost
  • Advocate Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen rigors
  • Support process improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, improve inventory turns and reduce manufacturing losses
  • Coordinate all first line activities (i.e. Methods, Production Control) to assure the meeting of production schedules and customer satisfaction, cost goals, and maintaining the highest standards of quality
  • Work to maintain and further develop a Visual Workplace including support for a 5-S program, active project boards, performance measure charts, and training program status boards

QualificationsRequirements:

  • Degree or diploma in mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering
  • Diploma with 3 to 4 year of experience or Engineer with 1 to 2 years experience in shop operations
  • Excellent level of understanding of process and design
  • Strong background and understanding of Engineering drawings specifications PLC circuits and manufacturing process planningevaluation.
  • Strong knowledge in electro-mechanical diagnosis, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
  • Must manage own performance against agreed goal and project objectives, accountable for quality and on time delivery.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and a keen interest to learn, diplomatic and able to apply a high level of initiative. Display confidence in a fast-paced work environment, energy, passion & enthusiasm to drive change.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills. Knowledge on Electronics assembly process.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Knowledge on CAPA, 5WHY analysis, RCA & Continuous Improvement
  • Good understanding of SMART, FIELDBUS, PROFIBUS DP & PA Technologies
  • knowledge in Micro Switches, Wiring harness, Connectors & Terminals, electronic sensor, Relays, Positioning devices in Control Valve industry
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills. Proven analytical and organizational ability. Proven academic record. Passion and aptitude for manufacturing supply chain etc. Solid technical and analytical skills coupled with sharp business acumen.
