Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Executive

Role: Sales of IT Products, Training Services to Universities, Institutions and directly to students

Reports (Administratively): VP Sales/CEO

Reports (Technically): VP BUH Education

Base Location: Chennai or Coimbatore or Trichy

Salary bracket Salary plus incentives on business turnaround

Experience and Education:

- 6 months to 1 years of MBA preferably with IT background or

- Competent Sales professional with 2-3 experience selling IT products/services, Educational services

Key Skills and Knowledge:

  • v Sales and Marketing of products/Services
  • v Independent, Self Motivated, Result driven individual
  • v Ability to travel extensively
  • v Prospect identification and nurturing
  • v Build business requirements from prospects meeting and engage them
  • v Strong communication and presentation skills
  • v Strategic Planning
  • v Minimal exposure to Finance to derive pricing, costing of products/services

Key Mandatory Responsibilities:

  • 1. Handling End to End activities of a result driven Sales cycle- Identify prospects, Fix appointments and engage the through discussions and presales presentations, pursue systematic end to end follow-up with prospects, management and other internal groups/management and strive to order closure providing weekly/monthly/quarterly reports.
  • 2. Research to identify a prospect list and devise monthly/Quarterly strategy to convert them into customers
  • 3. Cold calling of prospects and traverse to prospects through our contacts
  • 4. Track and report competition activities

Additional Responsibilities(any experience on this would be an added advantage)

  • 1. Online Marketing that Includes Email Marketing, Social Media Marketing
  • 2. Work with Business Unit and delivery/operation teams for developing new service offerings in the domain
