Job Description

Role Summary/Purpose :

We are hiring Lead Sourcing Specialist - Commodity Management to be based in Coimbatore location

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop sourcing strategies to achieve business goals in alignment with Global regional commodity leadership within the frame work of Baker Hughes sourcing compliance QMS
  • Balance strategy development with the tactical execution necessary to execute cost reduction projects through contract negotiation, process changes, and implementation of sustainable cost controls, including collaboration with Finance to validate the impact of projects.
  • Develop technical and market expertise in global commodity area especially in machining commodity
  • Support Global Domestic ITO OTR team to win execute customer orders and profitable business growth.
  • Recommend prospective Indian suppliers / finalize commercials against Global Domestic RFQs to Support New product developments | TOWs | Localization projects
  • Identify simplification projects | DMP | Make to Buy | Import to localization
  • Drive supplier Fulfilment
  • Supplier Capacity assessment | Scorecard | Quarterly business review
  • Supplier consolidation / Exit
  • Collaborative build relationship with cross functional team.
  • Proactive engagement with SQE during supplier selection / finalization / development
  • Work closely with engineering, buyers and sourcing quality engineers to ensure fulfillment and quality requirements are achieved
  • Interface with other BHGE business sourcing teams and participate in companywide strategic sourcing initiatives
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering from accredited university or college
  • Above 5 Years of experience in Sourcing function including negotiating, identifying opportunities, supplier selection and implementing contracts, in any Engineering Industries.
