Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Planning and organising Production Schedules
  • Co-ordinate with Marketing for delivery schedule
  • Assessing Project and resource requirements
  • Estimating, Negotiating and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients and managers
  • Technical support to outsource vendors and productivity follow up based on internal targets.
  • Ordered Imported material co-ordination with store department
  • Plan, direct & co-ordinate the manufacturing process thru sequence of line operations.
  • Monitor material cost reduction thru identified major areas.
  • Monitor production efficiency by improving availability on critical machines or power tools.
  • Monitor productions costs to ensure optimized utilization of internal resources.
  • Monitor overall equipment efficiency on critical machine or power tools by reducing downtime loss & set up loss
  • Monitor material cost reduction thru identified major areas.
  • Monitor and control the inventory.
  • Monitor production process to identify & remove non-value added process, bottlenecks.
  • Monitor disparities, if any between operating plan & monthly requirements, analyze cause of gap on a continuous basis.
  • Determining Quality control standards
  • Sheet metal fabrication or Pressure vessel fabrication Knowledge is essential.
  • Knowledge of welding processes like MIG is essential. TIG, SMAW will be added advantage.
  • Knowledge of weld joint design & symbols is added advantage.
  • NDT level II, RT, UT, MT, PT is added advantage.
  • Knowledge of code ASME VIII is added advantage.
  • Knowledge of AWS structural welding code D1.1 2006 is added advantage.
  • Knowledge of WPS as per ASME IX is added advantage.
  • Knowledge of API 1104 code is added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Material specifications & standards is essential.
  • Knowledge of SAP in PP & MM is added advantage.
  • Knowledge of KANBAN, Lean, 5s is added advantage.
  • Education & Experience:
  • DME (Mechanical) with 10 years or more of experience in Fabrication or Manufacturing Industry.
  • BE (Mechanical) with 8 years or more of experience in Fabrication or Manufacturing Industry.
