2. Experience : 25+ years of experience in handling production of woven / knitted fabrics. Working background with Technical Textiles / Medical Textiles will be an added advantage.
3. Age : Below 50
4. Should have work experience in Weaving and Knitting (Circular or Warp Knitting) technology. Experience in Finishing processes such as Steaming and Confection machinery (packing technology) is desirable.
5. Should have experience in handling permanent work force. Handling of unionized workforce is desirable.
6. Should be conversant in regional language TAMIL

2. Description of the Position:Responsible senior level position for managing and directing the Production Operation value chain (from Raw material to Finished Products) and achieve targeted production following the best in class production practices for a medical textile operation.

3. Objective of the Position: Provide manufacturing management support to the Chief Operation Officer and the Leadership Team by applying high standards in production to achieve organizational objectives. Responsible for effective utilization of production resources and to achieve company target with respect to productivity, efficiency and customer delivery. Maintain high standard of process control and product quality, efficiency for Warping (Preparatory), Weaving, Warp Knitting, Weft Knitting and Packing (confection system). To be effective in production planning and scheduling, seamlessly integrating the PPC with the supply chain. Constantly look for continuous improvement and bench-mark practices in production by adapting LEAN techniques. Timely New Product Development and Data Analytics towards reduction of all types of waste. Efficient Team Building by motivating and engaging officer and operating workforce for achieving lean objectives.

4. Main Responsibilities:
5. Production Process: (50%) Achieving production target by proper resource planning men, machine and material. Expertise in Narrow Width Needle looms, crotchet and Tubular /Circular Knitting Machines, Processing & Packaging machines to produce various varieties of bandages. Drive and monitor daily & weekly production performance, manage deviations and take corrective actions, take CAPA for the subsequent deliveries, initiate process improvements, measure effectiveness & efficiency of production to ensure deliveries to customer. Responsible to create benchmark data to improve the production process as a whole; resolve operational issues, share best practices to improve for efficient production process.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting (30%) Expertise in handling rolling fore-cast, drill down to monthly capacity loading, scheduling and track production orders and deliveries. Knowledge on ERP module planning & scheduling would be an added advantage. Capability to understand and to work on Annual Planning Cycle and plan for manpower budgeting, production capacity plan, investment and cost reduction.

3. Product / Process Quality: (10%) Responsibility includes providing direction to resolve production quality issues. Drive and strengthen in-process quality system that ensures production of quality products every time in conformance with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 requirements. Drive cross-functional team to solve problems using QC tools.

4. Coaching & Mentoring: (10%) Lead and Manage a team of professionals, operators including female employees for smooth and harmonious working atmosphere. Conducting timely communication meeting to share facts and plans with all employees and ensuring transparency in organization. Handling day-to-day HR and IR issues and maintain shop-floor discipline

5. Collaboration:Maintenance, Purchase, Stores, Quality and HR
6. Qualification and Know-how: Educational Qualification : B.Tech. in Textile Technology., Master Degree in Business Management will be an added advantage.

Experience: 20+ Years in a reputed integrated and professionally managed textile factory involving production of Warping (Preparatory), Weaving, Knitting and Packing functions. Experience in narrow width weaving, warp knitting, weft knitting and Rachel knitting technologies is essential. Should be well versed with contemporary and modern production techniques, viz., LEAN, TPM and TQM. Experience in Technical Textile / Medical Textile production process will be an added advantage.
