The Operations Department encompasses several work areas. These include the Central Control Room (CCR), Wellheads, Utilities, Separation, NGL recovery and Gas Operations. Teams of Production Technicians are supervised by Production Team Leaders who are responsible for these work areas. The work activities will be achieved under the technical direction and guidance of Production Team Leaders as appropriate.2. Production Technicians are responsible for operating the plant and processes within the above areas to maximize production and minimize downtime using safe operating procedures and practices at all times. Operations include commissioning, start-ups, day-to-day operations involving running plant, equipment preparation for maintenance and planned shutdowns. Production Technicians carry out the role of Authorized Person Mechanical and/or Area Authority within the Permit to Work system as described in the Permit to Work Manual.3. Production Technicians are expected to carry out maintenance on equipment within the scope of the Operations Department when requested to do so. The level of maintenance will be within the agreed scope of authority which is reflected in the individuals experience and competence.
