Job Description

Ground Staff Job Description TemplateWe are looking for energetic Ground Staff to be responsible for administrative duties and communication with passengers. Your duties will include welcoming passengers, providing information, assisting passengers who are disabled or are traveling with small children, checking in luggage, taking reservations and selling tickets. You should be able to promptly resolve passenger queries and ensure that all passengers are satisfied.To be successful as Ground Staff, you should display outstanding interpersonal skills and achieve excellent customer service, which consistently meets the goals and vision of the airline company. Ultimately, outstanding Ground Staff should be able to multi-task and ensure that every passenger is comfortable, safe and well-informed of flight schedules, aircraft delays, weather concerns and other factors that may affect passengers.Ground Staff Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and welcoming passengers, and responding to questions.
  • Checking in baggage.
  • Making reservations.
  • Selling airline tickets.
  • Stocking aircraft with refreshments.
  • Cleaning aircraft after flights.
  • Assisting disabled passengers and those with small children.
  • Providing information to passengers.
Ground Crew or Ground Staff work in the aviation industry where they are engaged in various roles at the airport. Ground Staff ensures the safety and comfort of passengers, including checking in baggage, providing information, assisting disabled passengers, confirming reservations, and selling tickets.What do cabin crew do The day-to-day tasks of cabin crew can vary depending on whether you are working as part of a long-haul or short-haul team. General duties include:
  • Taking part in pre-flight briefings about the flight, the passengers and the schedule.
  • Performing pre-flight checks to ensure that security equipment is working properly and that the plane is stocked with enough food for the flight.
  • Greeting passengers as they board and directing them to their seats.
  • Making sure that passengers are aware of safety procedures and demonstrating how to use emergency equipment.
  • Ensuring that hand-luggage is securely stowed.
  • Making announcements on behalf of the captain.
  • Serving food and drink.
  • Selling duty-free items.
  • Performing first aid if necessary.
  • Ensuring that passengers follow safety procedures in an emergency.
  • Making sure that passengers leave the plane safely.
  • Completing flight reports after the journey.
